Validation
Managing the "Validation" Environment: Ensuring ESG Data Accuracy
The "Validation" section is where data validators review and approve the ESG data submitted by data owners. This process ensures the accuracy and completeness of all information before final consolidation.
The Two Sections of "Validation"
-
Pending
- This section displays all data points that are awaiting review by the data validator.
- Validators are responsible for either validating or rejecting each data point. A comment is required for both actions to provide feedback or confirm approval.
- Once validated, the data point remains accessible for downloading any attached evidence, but the evidence can no longer be deleted.
-
Complete
- This section holds all data points that have already been validated.
- By clicking on any validated data point, you can view the details, including the information on who validated it, along with the date and timestamp for transparency.
How It Works
Data validators have access to the information previously filled out by the data owner. They can:
- Reject the data if there are errors or missing information, requiring further edits.
- Validate the data if everything is correct, moving it to the next stage in the ESG reporting process.
Final Note
Data validators will only be able to see the KPIs assigned to them, ensuring they focus solely on the data points they are responsible for validating.
